Using an import broker is optional. The function of the
import broker, in part, is to provide you with duty taxes and transport
services. If driving your car from USA to Canada, most of
these services are able to be handled by by yourself, without additional
cost. However, certain designated importers in Canada do the
pre-screening of eligibility to import. Their pre-screen fees are
included within their service fees. Vehicles produced in 2008, if
not found on the current authorized import list, contact the manufacture
for additional information.

sure the car or truck has the following:
As of September 1, 2007,
the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations require
that all new cars
and trucks produced after September 1, 2007 meet anti-theft and other
safety requirements. Your car or truck must either be on the
list of approved imports or have a certificate so indicating that the
specific vehicle is able to be imported. See this PDF file

You may agent contract
with a
common carrier to pickup your car and ship it to a specified location.
If you do this, make sure the carrier will provide adequate insurance
for this transport. You may have to purchase additional insurance to
raise this coverage. If you drive your new car or truck,
consult with your insurance company for proper insurance coverage. On
request, we will assist in locating a carrier that services your area of
Canada.

If
you do not travel to seller's location, have and independent inspection
done to aid in review of the physical and performance condition of your
prospective car or truck, reporting directly to you.

If you come within the USA
by visa or passport, you will need to sign a document one time to allow Market
World, Inc. to transmit your export documentation so stating that the
information given is accurate as submitted to Market World, Inc.
It is easy to fax to Market World the information needed to complete the
filing. Upon filing, (it takes about 3 hours for turn-around
response), you will be given a confirmed document number that will be
used at the border crossing by US and Canadian customs. They
will have access to the filed document that is secured electronically.
You will make any Canadian customs duty payments at that time.
This is an electronic filed document. Printed Export Documents are
reserved for special cases.

Ports of exit from the USA
may be found at the
USA Customs website. Plan you travel based upon these resources.
The port of exit is required on your export documentation filing.

If you carry additional
purchases in your truck or car of value greater than $2500.00 USD, we
can include those items within your export documentation for a nominal
fee.

For an estimate of fees to
be paid to Canada, the Federal Goods and Services (GST) tax is 5%, in
some locations, a Harmonized Sales Tax is used (HST) that combines
GST with other local taxes.
